Leach Relais und Elektronik GmbH was founded to manufacture relays for the aerospace industry in Munich.
1969
Start of the production facility in Noerdlingen.
1970
Start into Medical Technology, development of the worldwide first blood glucose meter for patient home monitoring for a large corporation.
1974-2000
1974
Expansion of capabilities in engineering and manufacturing: broad variety of customers in home care and near patient testing with several generations of products.
1994
Evolution step 1: development of the worldwide first
point-of-care (POC) instrument.
2000
Launch of the LRE point-of-care instrument platform.
2001-2006

Evolution step 2: entering the laboratory segment with development/
manufacturing of analyzers for the small and medium sized laboratory.
2004
Change in ownership to an US American Corporation.
2006
Implementation of ISO13485 Quality Managament System for medical devices.
2013-2017

Evolution step 3: development/manufacturing of worldwide first highly integrated instruments for molecular diagnostics (MDX): from sample to result.
2014
Relocation of the product development group to the new office building in Munich.
2017
Extension of the Noerdlingen facility with a new building for production and administration.

Acquisition through KPS Capital. Launch of the EMC testing and CNC center in Munich. Production scale up of first fully automated test system for rapid SARS-COV-2 detection.
2021-2023
Development and industrialization of a high capacity walk-away laboratory automation system. Acquisition through Gyrus Capital S.A.
2022-2024
Development of a fully automated sample processing instrument utilizing several different analytical technologies.
